OCC Transforms Waste into Merit: Turning Plastic Bottles into Monk Robes

March 20, 2026

Arjan Suwan Rojana, supervisor of the “Waste into Merit” project at Wat Chak Daeng, recently received a donation of used plastic bottles from Natcha Prakkammon, Advertising & Public Relations Manager, and the CSR team of OCC Public Company Limited. These bottles will enter a recycling process to be transformed into synthetic fibers and woven into “Saffron Robes” (Pha Trai Chiwon) for Buddhist monks.

This collection of plastic bottles was donated by OCC executives and employees who recognize the significance of Global Recycling Day. The initiative aims to transform used resources into new value while driving a sustainable Circular Economy. The handover took place recently at Wat Chak Daeng, Samut Prakan Province.
